Updated December 18, 2003

First (real) snow, December 7, 2003      A little late this year, but better than last, our first snow here in S. Burlington.   Happened on Saturday Night, Dec 6th, and continued throughout the day on Sunday, Dec 7th.   The picture on the left if from the 7th, late in the afternoon, after I had spent the day at Whiteface snowboarding.   I was supposed to have gone to am Ultimate tournament on Cape Cod, but none of my teammates wanted to drive in the snow!   I told them all to move to Florida.   They all suck.   Anyway, I enjoyed my day in the snow regardless.   Below are pictures of the driving, the snowboarding, the view from the mountain, my subaru when I got back.

Driving to Whiteface, in Addison County, VT

POW! Waist deep.

From the top of the mountain, looking towards VT Time to start diggin'
The snow was super deep, super light, and blowing all over the place.   People say it's like the snow out west.   I wouldn't know, the last time I was at a ski area out west, I was too young to remember it.   Waist deep runs all over the mountain for as long as I could physically do it.   I had to go by myself though, because for some weird reason, none of my friends wanted to go. . . What is wrong with people?   Snow is FUN!

Well, Monday came along, and back to work, but for my last week there.   Below is a picture of my office, parked out front of the building where all my co-workers offices are.   Next to that is another view from my office, coming into Montgomery Center, right near Jay peak, a few days BEFORE we got our first snow in Burlington.   Sick how just a little geographical change can bring such a meteorological change.   I hope I didn't just make up a word there.   I love my job, but it is not working out for me supporting the lifestyle I like to live.   So I thought that maybe NO income might be better.   Well, obviously, that's not the entire answer.   I am in the process of getting things together to move back to my folks house on Long Island for a bit.   My Dad's business is slower than it once was, and is not really supporting the rental commercial space he has.   My folks house needs some repairs as well, and I am going to help fix some things on the house, and also get my Dad's business consolidated and a little more efficient.   In exchange for that, I am hoping to free up enough money in the business to support my expenses, and get the family home either ready to sell, or in much better condition for living in. I also am doing this now for one more reason, if you know me, you know what it is.   If you don't, it doesn't matter to you anyway.   You can e-mail or IM me if you do know me if you are still wondering.   This isn't the appropriate forum for discussing it.   Despite that this forum is really all about me, and is really quite an arrogant statement on it's own. . . .

Today, I woke up to another blast of winter after a full day of steady rain on Tuesday.   Another 6-8 inches fell of heavy, wet, sticky snow.   Here are a few pictures of the continuing madness of snow that just keeps coming, and making me want to stay in Vermont longer.   My dad is being flexible with me, which I am very thankful for!   As I am writing this, it has started snowing again.   Rough life up here!   Snow is almost up to my window right next to my computer here.   I'm living right where I want to be.   I love the town, and the cliamate.   Now, how do I pay for it all?   If you have a job opening, let me know!
