boarding at the 'loaf.      Jill and I just got back from a week trip to Sugarloaf ski area, in Maine.   Click here to see some pictures from the trip.   Besides that, I have been busy with more endless hours at work, and spending a lot of time trying to figure out why those in charge of assigning extra work at my job are not doing it fairly.   I spent many hours researching company policy and procedure, and have been trying to educate my managers and co-workers on these policies.   Hopefully this will keep the managers from being able to claim ignorance, and keep them also from taking advantage of all of the employees ignorance on the policy, and make where I work a much better place to work.   This has been keeping me from updating the site, and I apologize for that.

The retiree.      For those of you who know my Jeep, it's time has finally come.   Another item taking up a lot of my time has been trying to get this vehicle to hang on a little bit longer.   Recently, during one of the many cold snaps this winter (days high temps about 0 deg F, and lows around -25F) the Jeep started running very rough.   It had trouble generating enough power to go.   I got it home, at which time the carpeting under the back seat caught on fire.   I extinguished the fire, and cleaned all the debris out of the car.   I spent a few more days working on it, until the day before we left for Maine, I checked the oil.   It should have been low, but it was way over-filled.   It was also very thin, and runny.   I smelled it, and it was diluted with gasoline.   Aparently, I have blown a cylinder, and all the gas from that chamber is blowing right through to the oil pan.   Plus, it catches fire.   Time to retire the vehichle.   Sad day for me.   Party day for Jill.
